AI and Automation Opportunity Map

Useful automation starts with a bounded process and a credible comparison. This workbook keeps the current workload, future human effort and pilot conditions connected by process ID. It preserves the distinction between estimated inputs and measured trial results, with no automatic recommendation based on hours alone.

Inside the workbook

01

Capacity comparison

Compare baseline, future and released human hours for each process without adding overlapping opportunities into an unsupported total.

02

Current and future work

Model eligible cases, routine effort, exception work and monitoring within one defined reporting period.

03

Pilot decisions

Record permission, scope, human controls, a return path, acceptance conditions and an accountable owner.

A few practical details

How is future effort calculated?

Eligible cases × (routine minutes + exception rate × extra exception minutes) ÷ 60 + monitoring hours.

Why are released hours not totaled?

Processes may share work, people or cases. Resolve those overlaps before aggregating opportunities outside this review.

Does a positive result approve a pilot?

No. Permission and pilot conditions are recorded separately, including scope, human control, acceptance and ownership.
